Discarded plastic bottles are responsible for a lot of plastic waste, recycling can only return so much, so here are a couple of ideas I’ve found, inspired by our previous post.
Plastic bottles as insulation
Gases make great insulation, as does plastic istelf. Plastic bottles can be shreaded and used as insulation, or they can be used whole. Using them whole is great for the next suggestion. Using them as the walls in a greenhouse.
Plastic bottles as green house
Plastic bottles let light through, including all important UV, plants take in the light for photosynthesis. As plastic bottles double as insulation, all the heat emitted and trapped is. Both these properties make using plastic bottles a the walls of a greenhouse an excellent use case for reusing plastic bottles.
